Champions For Veterans is an organization devoted to coaching and training veterans as they pursue the VA disability rating they deserve from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Our mission is to help 100,000 veterans get the rating they deserve by 2025.
Terry "Ranger" Johnson enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 10, 1980 and retired from the military in June 2000 with 20 years of service. Terry developed his unique leadership style while serving in some of the most elite units in the Army. He spent the last 11 years of his career serving in the Special Forces. As a Special Forces soldier (Green Beret), he conducted nation building operations in South and Central America.
As a retired, service-disabled veteran Terry’s “mission mind-set”remains intact:
To Help Every Veteran Receive The Benefits They Have Earned And Deserve From Having Served Our Great Nation!
Gino Johnson started Champions For Veterans with the dream to change the lives of veterans and their families by helping them to get the benefits they deserve from the VA. He knows from experience that the lack of this valuable information can lead to families not receiving the benefits they've earned as a result of the military service their family members gave to our country.
Prior to starting Champions For Veterans, Gino spent 9 years in corporate America working for large and small organizations performing accounting and auditing functions. He received his bachelor and master degrees in accounting from the University of Mississippi.

Tip of the Spear, A Veterans Roundtable 04/30/25
The "Tip of The Spear" was born out of a need for a dedicated space where veterans could come together to discuss the pressing issues within their community, as well as hard-hitting global matters that have the potential to impact the world at large. What started as a modest roundtable 18 months ago has since evolved into a robust platform that brings together a diverse array of voices and perspectives, unified by a shared commitment to the veteran community.
The Genesis of The Tip of The Spear
The concept for "The Tip of The Spear" began with the collaboration of four core shows:
HomeFront Sitrep
The Triple Threat Vet Podcast
The MisFitNation
I Am Pitts
These initial shows laid the groundwork for what would become a vital forum for discussing veteran-related issues. From the outset, the focus was on creating a space where veterans could freely express their thoughts, concerns, and solutions to the challenges facing their community. As the roundtable discussions gained momentum, more shows joined the fray, adding to the richness and depth of the conversations.

As a lifelong student of human connection, leadership, and communication with Scot Storey
As a lifelong student of human connection, leadership, and communication, I am passionate about shaping the growth and capabilities of leaders and teams worldwide. With a strong foundation in organizational leadership, I bring a unique perspective to leadership development.
My 30 plus year journey in leadership development has been shaped by a career of service in the US Army’s Special Operations Forces leading numerous teams from just a few operators to organizations several thousand people strong, with the Army’s Rangers, Green Berets and Civil Affairs units in some the world’s most remote and arduous conditions. In addition to my military background, I have been a volunteer for over twenty years working with high school students and young adults through church ministry and even administered numerous summer camps for both high school and middle school students. I have even pastored a small church. In short, I love to help people grow to their potential.
I believe in the power of a good story to shape personal connections and help people reach their full potential. I am committed to staying at the forefront of innovative leadership. My background in Strategic Studies, Emergency Management, and Speech Communications fuels my dedication to continuous growth. I'm excited to connect, collaborate, and drive personal and professional excellence in the arena leadership development.
HomeFront Sitrep was created to discuss and talk about current issues within the veteran communities. HomeFront sitrep invites veteran service organizations, veteran business owners, and veterans to come on and tell their story.
