Unleashing Wolves of Glendale, From Parody to Power Chords
We're howling with laughter—and maybe a little awe—as we dive into the wonderfully weird world of Wolves of Glendale. In just a few years, this comedy rock trio - Ethan Edenberg, Eric Jackowitz and Tom McGovern - has gone from internet cult favorites to sharing stages with the likes of David Cross, Tenacious D, and even performing at the Netflix is a Joke Festival. Their music is sharp, silly, and sonically on point—and if you ask Jack Black, “they sound f****ng fantastic.”*KFI's Heather Brooker spoke with two of the wolves themselves—Eric and Tom —to talk about their creative process, musical influences, and the fine art of turning daily chaos into bangers you can laugh and rock out to. Their debut album, produced by Grammy-winners John Spiker and Rian Lewis, is out now and streaming everywhere.

@Chrisontheair Chris Merrill - Lifestyles of the Rich, Fire Fighting, LA Law
According to a new report, gas prices in California could increase up to 75% by the end of 2026 as the state prepares to lose nearly one-fifth of its oil refining capacity. On Thursday, the Southern California Edison (SCE) tower in La Canada Flintridge was taken apart by airborne moving crews. A sky crane helicopter started the process of moving the tower to a staging area in three separate pieces. SCE says the three pieces of the tower will be dismantled and eventually moved into a warehouse. The Law Makers, Law Breakers and times that there oughta be a law.

@Chrisontheair Chris Merrill - Chinese Trade Talks, Tariff Madness, Border Theater, American Pontiff
President Trump said late Saturday that U.S. and Chinese officials had negotiated a "total reset" in their trade relationship during talks in Switzerland. There aren’t shortages of goods in U.S. stores yet, but if the deterioration in global shipping is any indication, they are on the way. That could complicate the White House’s pleas for Americans to be patient as trade officials rush to strike dozens of deals. Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested Friday at a federal immigration detention center where he has been protesting its opening this week. He was released hours later and told supporters: "I didn't do anything wrong." When word came of Pope Leo XIV's Chicago roots, witty local comments flooded social media timelines, even from our elected leaders. "Everything dope, including the Pope, comes from Chicago," Mayor Brandon Johnson posted. (Cringe)

@Chrisontheair Chris Merrill - There’s No Business Like... Weird Science, The Rest of the Stories
News of note from Tinsel Town and beyond. AI can tell you what your dog is thinking but also will make stuff up. So, don’t believe your dog when he says your brother has been visiting your wife and playing the tickling game every Tuesday and Wednesday starting 10 minutes after you leave for work... that’s just AI hallucinating.
