In this message, we explore why community is essential to following Jesus and how our relationships shape our spiritual growth. While our culture often tells us that faith is primarily private and that church is optional, Scripture presents a different picture. God calls us into community - a place where truth meets life. The essential context in which we learn to follow Jesus together, and where Christ meets us in the midst of our relationships, struggles, joys, and everyday lives.

God created us for deep fellowship with Him and meaningful relationships with one another - to know and be known, to belong and to grow together. Yet relationships can bring both great joy and deep challenge, exposing our brokenness through conflict, disappointment and hurt.
In the opening message of our new series, we explore this tension: we desperately need one another, yet our brokenness can make relationships difficult. Together, we’ll discover how to build healthy, authentic community, navigate relationships in a godly way, and meet God powerfully in the midst of our relationships.

What happens when we’ve blown it? What happens when we end up doing things we never imagined possible?
Psalm 51 gives us David’s brutally honest response to failure, guilt and shame and shows us a way back to God. Through confession, surrender, cleansing and renewal, David discovers that our brokenness doesn’t have to be the end of the story. There is hope.

With its author, king David, we can boldly approach God in prayer. We can pray as he did, and we are being helped by, like David does, reminding ourselves of the character of God, of his goodness, his mercy his steadfast love and faithfulness. Most important the Psalm encourages and helps us in any circumstance to put our trust in the Lord, our God.

This message is the beginning of our series in the Psalms. Looking at Psalm 131, we are looking for the ways that God invites us to a place of deeper intimacy and time with him and some practical ways to walk that out.
