  • Chapter 8: The Solarium
" Always remember where your true armor lies- in the relationships you forge and the love you invest in others."Aidyn The Gardener…………Krystle DelihueGregory the Gargoyle …………Jonathan JonesThe Keeper…………Luna AlexanderWe come to the Inn on a cold foggy day. The Keeper has us join Dr Aidyn Swankin, the Gardener in the Solarium where she is adjusting many pots for overwintering. We are sent on the task of watering the moonflower in the heart of the warm tropical room.. We take a rest beside a gargoyle in the center of the tropical room, named Greg, who tells us the story of how Mackinaw Island was formed when Mikinaak the snapping turtle waged war on the Anishinaabeg people. He reminds us that armor is often a hollow shell and that our strength lies in the friends and communities we build around us. This episode is dedicated to the Niswimishkodewinan, the People of the Three Fires Confederacy: the Ojibwe, Odawa & Potawatomi Nations and for Chris who first gave me seeds for the Moonflower: fingers crossed they grow beautiful & strong this year!Music Credits: Shelter Song, Pathfinder, Melodic Interlude & Village Ambiance by Alexander Nakarada @CreatorChordsIf you found refuge and peace here at the Inn and would like to help us keep the hearth fire burning (plus receive bonus content like additional poems and readings) please visit our website atwww.acornartsandentertainment.com/theinn, or you can join our Patreon community at: https://www.patreon.com/acornartsandentertainment for even more cool stuff, and to help us create more shows just for you.

  • Chapter 7: The Ballroom
“Why get stuck in mud when you shine like the sun?”A rumbling Thunderstorm at the Inn. The Keeper introduces us to Arlyn, the laundress for the Inn.  She takes us up to the Grand Ballroom, tucked away in the broom closet on the 4th floor, reserved for guests from the Irrational Realms. We meet the visiting ghost of the Ballroom, the Duchess von Dallion.  She tells us the story of how Brer Rabbit tricked the Family with the race he set up between Cousin Dust and Cousin Rain. We are reminded that it’s always a good idea to prepare, no matter the weather. The Duchess gently reminds us of our worth and helps us fill out a dance card with our own destiny.Arlyn The Laundress…………Tea SankaraThe Grand Duchess Destinia von Dallion…………Victoria WeatherspoonDedicated with love to my Auntie Cynthia: thank you for showing the way and always saving room for the old tales. If you found refuge and peace here at the Inn and would like to help us keep the hearth fire burning (plus receive bonus content like additional poems and readings) please visit our website atwww.acornartsandentertainment.com/theinn, or you can join our Patreon community at:https://www.patreon.com/acornartsandentertainment for even more cool stuff, and to help us create more shows just for you. A transcript for this episode is available on our website atwww.acornartsandentertainment.com/theinnMusic credits:Harp Music by Youtube Creator @PositivityandMusicShelter Song, Tavern Loop One, Village Ambiance Alexander Nakarada @ CreatorChords

  • Chapter 6: The Upstairs Bathroom
“When you are blessed to love a wild heart, the real gift is letting it swim free.” We arrive at the Inn to find the Keeper in the midst of a mild flood and she sends us up to the bathroom on the seventh floor, where we surprise Andora, the maitre'd of the Inn.  She shows us the beauty of the bathroom and we promise her secret is safe with us as she sneaks back from a break. While drawing the water up to the perfect bath, we look through one of the glass cabinets with many glass bottles within.  One of these bottles opens to transport the tiny ship inside to the outside and we meet Gil: the mermanatee captain of the ship in a bottle. We hear about his lovesick tale of the Selkie Bride while we snack on sweet potatoes and we are reminded to treasure our wildness, rather than allow others to steal it from us.  Gil gives us a conch shell as a gift to calm the winds of our lives and when we blow it, he returns to the bottle, safe and sound. Roisin the waiter…………Josie Eli HermanDoirann, the Cook…………Luna AlexanderGil…………Sealoyd JonesThe Inn Keeper…………T. • Chapter 5: The Cabinet Under The Stairs
"Remember to guard your grove well."We arrive at the Inn on a pleasant winter evening and a birthday.  We are introduced to Cook’s grandchild, Tol and we help blow out candles on the beautiful apple cake that Cook has made. Tol is very persuasive and entices us into a game of hide and seek.  We hide in the enormous cabinet we find built into the wall under the second staircase and discover it is already occupied by a wood nymph named Abeba.  She tells us the tale of the Talking Skull from the Ashanti Kingdom and how loose lips can sometimes lead to lost heads.  We settle down to doze among the extra pillows in the corner as she tells us about the great trees of her grove and the power in honoring the sources of our inspiration. The Inn at the End of Things is created by T. • Chapter 4: The Kitchen Hearth
A busy night at the Inn with many mouths to feed.  The Keeper takes us to the kitchen and we meet Kath the Potswife, who helps keep the Inn’s magical kitchen shipshape. As we help with the soup, we hear the Cree Nation’s tale of how Dogs and Humans came to live together and remember that we are tamed by those we would tame.  We add a pinch of spice to the broth, pat a friendly pup or two and are reminded how we nourish those around us when we nourish the heart.  The Inn at the End of Things is created by T.
