Ep 449: Uncommon Paths
I did this thing a long time ago and I did it on accident and it's been the driving force of my life and it's kind of messed up. It means that I chose to not take the traditional path and I've continued to choose to not take the traditional path. My spirituality, my health choices, my food choices, and everyone looks at it and says, "Oh, that's amazing. You have all of these gifts." Yes, I'm grateful. Exceptionally grateful. And at this time of year, even more grateful because gratitude resonates so much higher than love. I learned the gratitude thing actually from my little mama son. And the thing that I did really was forced upon me after the loss of my spouse. And it doesn't mean that I didn't choose the next steps. It just means that I chose my spirituality and how I was here to help people. How I really have something to share that if I can get one person out of pain in their physical body, their mental body, their business life, their relationships, then I have done my work. And it takes a lot to stay in that uncommon path. It takes a lot to really stick with it. I know. And I don't call any of it a sacrifice, but I do call it a choice. So, what choice are you making? Are you choosing to not be in faith? Are you choosing to step into something bigger and beautifuler and unknown? The unknown is scary. Trust me, I know that the unknown is scary. I've done so much of the unknown and it's helped me help a lot of folks, yet I'm not done. And so the choice that we make is moment by moment. I was sitting outside of a business growth conference the other day that I've been part of for many years and this guy sits beside me and he's whispering kind of like this and I didn't understand and we got into a long conversation and it's somebody that I had a conversation with several years ago and I said, "Oh, I remember you. I remember your booming voice." He said, "Oh, I had cancer." And I said, "Well, I'm always sitting at the right table where creator has put me that I need to have the right conversation." And he said to me, "Wow, I don't have that kind of faith." I said, "Well, the only way for me to live in this unique way of choosing is to have faith." And so choosing faith is a moment-by-moment choice. It's simple, but it's not easy. And it's not simple and it's not easy. It's all of these things all at once. However, we abdicate our choices to others, to blame, to shame, to guilt. And our choices are our power. Our choices are our soul's commitment to what we're doing next. So, what's your soul's commitment to what you're doing next? Is it your personality or is it your truth what's next? Because faith requires that you choose. And faith requires that you say, you know what, I'm smart. I can figure this out. I can have the income. I can totally do this. And I've walked a lot of people, a lot a lot a lot of clients, small businesses off the ledge of I don't have the money. I don't have what it takes. And it takes faith. It takes active faith to pursue it consistently and to choose it. So, what are you grateful for? What are you in faith about or not in faith about? And what are you choosing?
