I Don't Look Like What I Been Through_Worship Through Wounds
Honestly, sometimes it hurts and it hurts bad. The question for Christians is how do we maneuver through those times. The truth is, we have never been guaranteed a life of ease or a life free from disappointment or distress. As a matter of fact Jesus explains that in this world there will be trying and difficult times. He also says to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. He is telling us that we can rest assured knowing that He has overcome and will bring all things to a positive end for us no matter how it looks right now. So what is our response. Well, in a word...Worship. The more we learn to worship through what we are going through the stronger we get, the closer we get to Jesus and the better we are able to navigate what is going on. So no matter what it is or how bad it seems, worship through it all.

I Don't Look Like What I Been Through_Jesus...And Therapy
God proclaimed that it is not good for man to be alone. This indicates that as great as it is to have God, and we must, God also created us human and intentionally created us to have needs that would have to be met by other humans. We are not meant to be alone. And we are not meant to handle things alone or only by spiritual means. The Spirit should lead us to a better human existence including rest, relaxation and therapy. Rely on God?...yes. Put your trust in Jesus for salvation?...yes. Realize you are human and that you will also have to rely on God, trust Jesus and learn to take care of your "humanness" through therapeutic means that God has allowed?...yes. So let's explore the full range of godly means to grow and be the best we can be. Jesus...and therapy. Not just counseling but rest, relaxation, restoration and revitalization in all acceptable forms.

I Don't Look Like What I Been Through (Build Back Stronger)
Obstacles are inevitable, and they are often used by God to strengthen us and draw us closer to Him. Sometimes those obstacles include loss, disappointment and in some cases disaster. And on top of that, it often requires that we recover and rebuild. And if we are going to have to do so, lets do it better, bigger, stronger than ever before. The blessing of it all is that we have God as our source, as our guide, as our protector and as our companion every step of the way.

I Don't Look Like What I Been Through (Heal What Is Hurting)
There is healing for your soul. It is with God through Jesus Christ who loves us so much that He took on our pain and sorrow to set us free. Our task is to move through the hurt to get to Jesus. With Him there is healing for what is hurting. What is so great about God is that He will absolutely meet us where we are. He displayed and proved that by sending Jesus Christ to come and rescue us. Whatever you are in and wherever you find yourself, look around and there you will find Jesus to sit with you, to heal you and to deliver you.

I Don't Look Like What I Been Through (Treating Your Triggers)
It has been said that our triggers are our responsibility. And that is true though it may sound harsh on the surface. It is really important that we understand that it is not others responsibility to be aware of and to tip toe around our triggers. That is not to say that you don't have a true and legit reason to feel how you feel and frankly to be triggered. It is to say that our triggers should not grow to become an excuse or reason why we sit and stay in a particular place. Ultimately, we have to decide that we will not allow our past hurts and traumas to keep us from moving forward. Part of that is recognizing our triggers and making a decision to go to God and get the treatment we need so we continue to move forward in all that God has for us.
