  • Did I Peak In High School?
“You peaked in high school, bud.”That's rude. But also, what if they’re right?😬In this episode I’m messing around with the idea of “peaking” in life. How do you even know when it happens? Is it your 20s, when you look the best you ever will but your brain aint quite there yet? Or is it later, when your mind is sharper, your body is louder, and your kids roast your old photos so hard you start questioning everything?I talk about tiny aging shifts you don’t notice, kids as brutally honest mirrors, social media constantly updating everyone’s mental picture of your face, and the hilarious possibility that you might actually keep getting better, smarter, and hotter as you go. You just peaked at 85 years old, Bud.

  • GPS Is Making Me Dumb
I have GPS, Google Maps, blue lines, red lines, ETA countdowns, the whole car navigation circus on my phone…and I still miss the turn. This little rant is about getting lost with directions, how phone navigation might be making me worse at reading signs, and whether paper maps and actually paying attention were secretly better. If you’ve ever argued with your GPS, second-guessed the “fastest route,” or wondered why you still feel directionally dumb in the age of unlimited navigation apps, this one’s for you. Hit play, laugh at my bad sense of direction, and then check out more travel stories and episodes of Maxwell’s Kitchen Podcast around the site.Opening song “Chiptune Fighter" written by SCOREWIZARDS.All production by Cody Maxwell.Opening graphic assets by motionstate.sharkfyn.commaxwellskitchenpodcast.com

  • You Are The CEO Of You
You are the CEO of you. I don’t care if you’re hourly, on salary, or answering to a boss. You are still running the whole thing. Your life is basically a company and you’re in charge of every department. Operations, HR, marketing, finance, all of it. You choose who gets access to you. You choose what goes in your head. You choose how you show up.This is self improvement but it’s not fake motivational talk. It’s personal responsibility. If you roll in with greasy hair, trash attitude, hung over at noon, wearing stuff that says “I gave up,” that’s your brand. That’s your company. People see that and decide what you’re worth. That’s career advice nobody gives you because it sounds rude.So here’s the real question: how much is one hour of your life worth. Are you getting paid that right now. Or are you working cheap because you’re scared to ask for more.Brian Tracy talks about this a lot. You are basically self employed no matter who signs the check. You’re the president of your own personal services company and you are the product. You are responsible for results in your life, not the economy, not your boss, not “the market.” Take control of your life, take responsibility, and act like the CEO.That’s what this episode is about. Confidence, mindset, knowing your value, and not letting other people decide what you’re allowed to earn. Show up like it matters. Get a little more useful every day. Raise your rate.If your life is the company, are you running it for real or are you letting it run you. What do you think?Opening song “Chiptune Fighter" written by SCOREWIZARDS.All production by Cody Maxwell.Opening graphic assets by motionstate.sharkfyn.commaxwellskitchenpodcast.com
