The KYW Newsradio All-Local: Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 (evening edition): A house fire in Chester County has left one person dead and injured a firefighter this (Saturday) morning. KYW Newsradio’s Sunny Morgan has the details. ... The first snowfall of the season is expected tonight across our region. The National Weather Service says most of the area will see a total of 1 to 3 inches of snow — but we could get up to 3-4 inches of snow in some areas starting around 7 pm. PennDOT's Brad Rudolph says they are already preparing the roads. ... Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small took the stand Friday to testify in his trial for alleged child abuse. Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small testifies in child abuse trial, says he never hit or abused his daughter

First measurable snowfall of the season to hit the Philly region this weekend
Accumulating snow, bitter temperatures, and slippery roads are headed to the Philly region this weekend. As KYW’s Sunny Morgan tells us, crews are prepared to treat the roads this weekend. It’s that time of year when freezing pipes can mean an extra bill for homeowners. KYW’s Justin Udo talked with a plumbing expert in Delaware County about preventative measures you can take. Authorities are looking for a man they say stabbed a 93-year-old to death inside his home in North Philadelphia last week. As KYW's crime and justice reporter Kristen Johanson tells us, the suspect allegedly stole the victim’s car and wallet. The Cherry Hill free clinic is seeing an uptick in patients, and the clinicians say they are ready for more in the new year. KYW's community impact reporter Racquel Williams has more.

SEPTA reaches tentative deal with suburban transit operators union
The KYW Newsradio All Local on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 (morning edition): SEPTA has avoided another strike, this time by reaching a tentative contract agreement with a union representing more than 300 suburban transit workers. ... Prosecutors in Atlantic County called their final witnesses in the trial for Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small. Small and his wife are accused of physically abusing their then 15-year-old daughter on several occasions in 2023 and 2024. Both have maintained their innocence, saying the charges are politically motivated. ... Philadelphia City Council cleared out a lot of its calendar at Thursday's meeting. ... The Powerball jackpot has jumped to $1 billion for Saturday’s drawing.
