Taylor McCall came into his intimate gravely voice and other worldly cosmic songwriting somewhat late in the game, comparatively. I met Taylor in his early twenties through a co-write here at Silent Desert Studio and knew right away that we were kindred spirits, and that I wanted to make a record with this magic boy. Fast forward three records later that we’ve made together here mostly at Silent Desert Studio (“Black Powder Soul” 2021, “Mellow War” 2024, and “The Porch Session” 2024), and we have become not only constant co-creators but I also consider him one of my closest brothers.
