World Cup After Dark

Amit & Austin close out their World Cup Group previews with a look at Group G. Belgium lead the way, a second-tier European team with a last vestiges of a golden generation gifted a generous draw. Iran, one of the storylines on and off the pitch, join them, as do Egypt, who have hooked the hosts with their dark horse credentials. New Zealand round out the quartet, a big fish in the Oceanic confederation but a small fish in the World Cup pond.

Austin and Amit preview Group L, starting with the question on everyone's lips this June: Is it coming home? After tackling an in-depth look at Tommy Tuchel's tactical approach for England, the guys try and decipher if Croatia can somehow surprise again. From there, it's on to Ghana, now managed by Carlos Queiroz in a bit of an oil and water combination, before finishing with an analysis of Panama's long-term Thomas Christiansen-led project.

Austin and Amit preview Group J, led by defending champions Argentina, who are looking to become the first repeat World Cup Champions since Brazil in 1962. They're joined by Energy Drink Soccer afficionados Austria, Dark Horses of Tournaments Past Algeria, and a Jordan side dealing with key injuries.

Jon Arnold returns for another World Cup Group Preview as this time the guys look at Group E. A re-vamped Germany lead the way, followed by a pair of physical dark horse contenders in Ecuador (the second-best team in South American qualifying) and Ivory Coast (full of young talent). Curaçao, one of the most intriguingly assembled teams of the World Cup, round out the group.
